Alfresco Festival 27th - 29th May 2016
Alfresco has been mainly based in Blackpool for the last five years but now we have moved down South to Royal Tunbridge Wells. It's a great move for us as we have a full three day festival now set in an incredible location complete with rolling fields, woodland areas and a stunning lake central to everything.
There are now four stages over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the late May Bank Holiday. The event keeps it's identity focusing on music a little left of centre and the family crowd. Musically it's very electronic this year with live shows from The Emperor Machine, Vox Low, C.A.R and Days of being Wild.
The woodland stage is hosted by We Are The Sunset and boasts a line up featuring Felix Dickinson, Chris Duckinfield, Balearic Mike, Andy Taylor and many more. Expect the finest in Balearic, house and disco in the fantastic tall trees fully decorated with mirror balls and great lighting.
The Nein Records Igloo which was arguably the event's highlight this year is even bigger with a line up featuring Jennifer Cardini, Matt Walsh, Kiwi, Rory Phillips, Craig Bratley and loads more. This will be the full on dance ten and i doubt anyone will actually be 'warning up' in there !
The main stage will be very varied with the live acts, the legend that is Don Letts right through to the closing act of Sean Johnston going back to back with Logan Fisher for four hours ...
There will be a new stage too called The Armchair Sessions, don't be fooled by the title though. This will be very different with many DJ's playing their own style. All genres will catered for here with some of the best selectors going.
The event is very proud of the family side of things, we're very creative in what we do and the children are looked after and entertained second to none. A full range from story telling and magic shows for the little children right through to a roller disco, arts and crafts, dance, graffiti art, dj and music technology workshops and loads for the bigger kids too.
It's all fully supervised by fully trained and professional people and the majority of it is inclusive of the ticket price also ! The food and drink is incredible and the whole event is priced for the family market.
